THE WEDDING...
2007 saw the first wedding in living memory take place at Enthorpe. The reception was to be the ”barn” note the before and after pictures...
A lot of blood sweat and tears followed the announcement in order to prepare the barn. We thought we were just about ready, however the “big man” upstairs decided to throw us a curve......it was called rain.
Thursday night and was set fair, the barn was dressed, the floor carpeted, the bar stocked and the tables sited - we were on time, on schedule and ready for Friday where we could put in the final touches....... then at 3pm it started to rain
If came in bucket loads,... then more... and more... and more. The weather men reckoned a months worth fell in 24 hours. We awoke to a flooded barn, wet carpets and a tearful bride....
... However all’s well that ends well... the second they took their vows the sun came out and stayed all day...
Amen to that!
